Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze declared that the ruling party is “practically guaranteed” to win both mayoral and city council elections in all 64 municipalities, citing recent GORBI survey data as evidence.

Kobakhidze attributed this confidence to what he called the opposition’s ineffective strategy.

“The opposition made things very easy for us — both the parties boycotting the elections and those still running. An ideal situation has been created for us, so we will win in all 64 municipalities very easily,” he stated.
