
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with International Maritime Organization (IMO) Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez to discuss ongoing collaboration and future initiatives to advance Georgia’s maritime industry.
According to the government’s press office, the meeting highlighted years of successful cooperation and explored new opportunities for partnership. A key focus was the strategic development of the Anaklia Port, which the Prime Minister described as vital to Georgia’s long-term economic growth.
Kobakhidze reaffirmed the government’s commitment to expanding the marine sector, while Dominguez praised Georgia’s progress in digitalizing maritime services. He noted that this advancement has significantly boosted the sector’s development and suggested that Georgia could serve as a model for other countries.
