“Today is the 5th anniversary of the introduction of visa-free regime with the European Union, so I congratulate everyone on this important date. We, the whole government, have worked very hard for this. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to achieving this result.

I would like to remind the population that we started this process in 2013 when we were given the Visa-Free Action Plan. The Government worked hard and we completed this process in December 2015. The EU considered our efforts satisfactory and the visa regime was lifted in about a year and our citizens now travel to EU countries without a visa,” Irakli Gharibashvili said.
