The meeting was held as part of the thematic research started to study the situation and existing difficulties related to the development of the digital economy in Georgia.
To ensure the involvement of all interested parties in the research process, technical conditions were sent to the public agencies, business associations, chambers of commerce, consulting and analytical companies, higher education institutions and relevant programs of international organizations. Accordingly, the participants of the meeting discussed the opinions substantiated by the arguments of the representatives of the private sector.
"The purpose of the thematic research on the digital economy is to see and study what opportunities the country has in developing the digital economy and how we can support this process. Accordingly, the research includes separate meetings with the private and public sectors, summarizing the results of the research and developing recommendations", - Davit Songhulashvili, the Chairman of the Sector Economy and Economic Policy Committee said.
