
Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, and Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the European Integration Committee, are on an official visit to Bucharest.
The delegation met with Romanian officials, including the President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, and members of the Foreign Affairs Committee. They discussed bilateral relations, internal politics, and the security situation in the Black Sea region, particularly the impact of U.S.-Russia negotiations on both countries.
Samkharadze highlighted Romania's strong support for Georgia’s EU integration, aiming for Georgia to complete necessary reforms by 2030. The visit also included talks with Daniela Nicolescu, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy, on strategic projects like the Black Sea submarine cable and the Middle Corridor, emphasizing their shared interest in enhancing trade routes between Europe and Asia.
