A Georgian parliamentary delegation, consisting of Irakli Kadagishvili, Chair of the Regional Policy and Self-Governance Committee; Givi Mikanadze, Chair of the Education, Science, and Youth Affairs Committee; and Paata Salia, Deputy Chairman of the Committee, conducted a working visit to Azerbaijan.

During the visit, the delegation met with Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. The Speaker extended her congratulations to the Georgian MPs on their victory in the October 26 parliamentary elections and emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the parliaments of Georgia and Azerbaijan.

Additionally, Givi Mikanadze extended an invitation to Azerbaijani lawmakers for an official visit to Georgia in early 2025, which will include the chairpersons of various parliamentary committees.

The meetings were also attended by Zurab Pataradze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
