
During an official visit to Brazil, a Georgian parliamentary delegation held a meeting with Hugo Motta, President of the Chamber of Deputies, to discuss ways to deepen political, economic, and trade relations. The talks placed particular emphasis on the exchange of experience between the two countries.
The Georgian delegation updated Mr. Motta on the situation in Georgia's occupied regions and expressed appreciation for Brazil’s continued support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
As part of the visit, President Motta introduced the Georgian parliamentarians to Brazilian lawmakers during a plenary session, highlighting the visit as an important step forward in bilateral relations.
The delegation was led by Nikoloz Samkharadze, Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, and included Mariam Lashkhi, Chair of the Education, Science and Youth Affairs Committee, and Victor Sanikidze, Chair of the Sports Committee. Georgia’s Ambassador to Brazil, Zurab Mchedlishvili, also participated in the meeting.
