The Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, reacted to posts published yesterday by Tulsi Gabbard, United States Director of National Intelligence, on social media.

Papuashvili noted that Gabbard’s statements explicitly ask, “Who is the troublemaker today?” He added on social media: “I believe the U.S. Director of National Intelligence is quite clear about who the real troublemaker is today.”

For context, Gabbard accused what she called “Deep State warmongers and their Propaganda Media” of attempting to undermine former President Trump’s efforts to bring peace to Ukraine. She further claimed that NATO and the EU seek escalation in order to involve the United States military directly in the conflict with Russia. At the same time, Gabbard emphasized that Russia currently lacks the capacity to fully conquer and occupy Ukraine.
