As part of Papuashvili's visit to Azerbaijan, the discussion reviewed ties in trade, energy and education, the Georgian Parliament press office said. 

The officials also highlighted the historical friendship and fruitful strategic partnership of many years between the two countries. 

The current situation in the South Caucasus and  importance of further cooperation for regional peace was also emphasised.
