Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili held a meeting with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Malik Murzalin.

According to the Parliament’s press office, the Speaker thanked the Ambassador for his unwavering support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and underlined the importance of respect for international law in a complicated world milieu.

“The parties overviewed the bilateral relations and highlighted the positive dynamics of cooperation in trade and investments. The emphasis was placed on cooperation against the background of the increased role of the middle corridor. The Ambassador informed the Speaker about the recent reforms in Kazakhstan. The discourse included a scheduled visit of Shalva Papuashvili and his accompanying Delegation to Kazakhstan. As the Ambassador stressed, the official visit will be of a historical value and will serve as an incentive for the enhancement of bilateral relations,” reads the press statement.
