Citizens of foreign countries who have received full general education in Georgia will be able to continue their studies at higher educational institutions without passing the unified national exams.
The decision had been supported by MPs earlier during the day, enabling foreign nationals to use the simplified procedure for joining educational institutions.
The Parliament of Georgia said the change would not apply to those with dual citizenship.
In other amendments to education-related legislation, non-Georgian-speaking entrants involved in academic years up to and including 2023-2024 will be able to use a program for Georgian language classes through 2030-2031.
