The Georgian women's wheelchair fencing team has returned from São Paulo, Brazil, with six medals from the World Cup competition. Family members and supporters greeted the triumphant para-fencers at the airport.

Irma Khetsuriani claimed gold in the sabre event and silver in foil fencing. Nina Tibilashvili contributed two medals to the team's success, winning gold in sabre and bronze in foil.

The year 2025 has started successfully for Gvantsa Zadishvili as well, who secured silver medals in both sabre and foil events.
