
The Georgian national team achieved major success at the Para Weightlifting World Cup held in Chile, bringing home a total of seven medals: two gold, two silver, and three bronze.
Akaki Jincharadze (+107 kg) led the team with a dominant performance, securing both of Georgia’s gold medals. He lifted 246 kg in the individual event to take first place and added another gold with a combined total of 721 kg across three attempts.
Maka Quinchia (+86 kg) earned two silver medals, finishing second in the individual event with a 126 kg lift and again placing second overall with a total of 371 kg.
Giorgi Latsabidze (+107 kg) claimed bronze twice, lifting 218 kg in the individual round and achieving a combined total of 433 kg.
Iago Gorgodze (-107 kg) also reached the podium, lifting 180 kg in the individual competition to secure a bronze medal.
The team’s strong showing highlights Georgia’s growing strength in international para powerlifting.
