Georgian Orthodox Church marks Day of Remembrance of St. Andrew the First-Called and Day of Georgia's Allotment to Mother Mary on May 12

On the occasion of the Feast of the Day of Georgia's Allotment to Mother Mary and the entry of the Apostle Andrew the First-Called to Georgia, a divine service will be held today on Makhata Mountain, at the Iveria All-Holy Mother of God Icon Temple.
The divine service will begin at 10:00.
In 2019, the Georgian Parliament approved May 12 as the Day of Georgia’s Allotted to Virgin Mary, declaring it as the Day of Hope. The Iveria All-Holy Mother of God Icon Temple on Mount Makhata was also consecrated on this day.
