Giorgi Chikovani, Director of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, held a meeting with the delegation of the state agencies and business sector of Turkmenistan. Dovletmurat Muratov, Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Georgia, attended the meeting, the main goal of which was discussion on the current situation and future plans in the energy sector.
The meeting reviewed future collaboration prospects, Georgia’s transit potential, oil product imports, and collaborative infrastructure projects.
Giorgi Chikovani emphasized the importance of diversifying energy resources. The parties agreed to continue cooperating and to enhance trade relations.
The delegation also included the heads of the Turkmenistan oil processing complex and the representatives of the State Concern Turkmengas.
