A postage stamp devoted to the Georgian National Football Team will be in circulation from June 12, 2024, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development reported.
According to the Ministry, the author of the stamp is Baadur Koblianidze, and the circulation of the postage stamp is 40,000 units. The stamp will be available at 80 service centres of the Georgian Post.
“The postmark, aside from its main purpose, represents an expression of the country’s sovereignty and is usually called the country’s trademark. A postage stamp should respond to the requirement of the Universal Postal Union. It should reflect the country’s culture, historical past, science and culture, main achievements in sports, and key events of internal or foreign life,” the Ministry said in a statement.
