
The Chairman of the Georgian National Competition Agency, Irakli Lekvinadze, participated in the event "EU-Georgia Business Forum 2022". The meeting was supported by the European Union and organized by the European Business Association (EBA).
The speeches were delivered at the event by: the EU Ambassador to Georgia, Karl Hartzell; the Chair of the EU Integration Committee, Maka Bochorishvili; the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Sectoral Economics and Economic Policy, Davit Songhulashvili and the Head of the European Investment Bank Regional Office in the South Caucasus, Machie Chura.
"The project entitled "Promoting European Business and Economic Interests in Georgia" was presented at the meeting, within the framework of which the business environment was surveyed. The project aims to encourage coordinated and active business activities, facilitate the implementation of the Association Agreement and the DCFTA, and protect the interests of the EU economic diplomacy. The Georgian National Competition Agency received an award on behalf of the European Business Association and the European Union for its significant involvement and cooperation in this project.
John Braeckeveldt, the Chairman of the European Business Association, introduced the European Economic Cooperation Platform (EECP) to the audience. A panel discussion with the representatives of the European Business Association was held and comments were made by the public sector officials supporting the project.
The forum was attended by the members of the governmental and parliamentary teams, business associations and chambers, European Embassies, international financial institutions, donors and international organizations,"- the statement issued by the Georgian National Competition Agency reads.
