
Members of the Georgian Parliament’s European Integration Committee, Lika Shartava and Eka Sepashvili, participated in the Conference of Parliamentary Committees on European Integration (COSAP) of Western Balkan candidate countries, held on November 17–18 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking at the conference, Eka Sepashvili highlighted the security challenges facing Georgia, the country’s geopolitical importance within the EU enlargement process, and the need to safeguard regional stability. She also stressed the value of sharing experiences among candidate countries as they work toward EU membership.
Participants discussed progress and remaining obstacles in the European integration process, focusing on EU enlargement policy, geopolitical influences, and regional cooperation.
COSAP serves as a permanent parliamentary platform that promotes collaboration on EU accession issues among Western Balkan states. Its chairmanship, together with member countries, extended invitations to parliamentary delegations from Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Türkiye.
