“The Georgian Parliamentary delegation discussed the cooperation issues with Switzerland,” - the Speaker Shalva Papuashvili said.

The meeting in Switzerland also covered the regional challenges.

“The Geneva format is the only one in which Georgia has the opportunity to talk to Russia, including on de-occupation. Therefore, Switzerland takes its responsibility on this matter very seriously. I thanked them for their years-long support, especially for Switzerland’s role in enhancing security,” Papuashvili stressed. 

Papuashvili also said that the parties discussed the possibility of scheduling direct flights.

“There is a political decision on this matter and negotiations are underway, which, of course, will make it more intensive and accessible for the citizens of both  nations to visit the countries,” - the official said.
