Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Georgian Parliament, on Monday met Joo Ho-young, the Vice Chair of the South Korean National Assembly, and members of the body to consider the existing relations between the two countries and the potential for strengthening cooperation.
The meeting reviewed prospects for deepening economic and trade relations, as well as enhancing cultural and educational exchanges, with the officials highlighting the importance of strengthening parliamentary ties between the two countries.
The officials also discussed security matters in the wider region and global challenges, while also emphasizing the difficult situation in Georgia's Russian-occupied regions of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia).
Samkharadze extended his gratitude to visiting officials for their support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
