As the Parliament's press office reported, Samkharadze provided Fajon with comprehensive information about the legislative changes implemented by the Georgian Parliament and related to the implementation of the EU conditions for granting the country the membership candidate status.
Nikoloz Samkharadze also spoke about the severe situation in the Russian-occupied territories of Georgia and Russia's destructive actions that Georgia faces every day.
Fajon reaffirmed her strong support for Georgia's territorial integrity and European and Euro-Atlantic integration, and noted the Slovenian Government supported granting the EU membership candidate status to the country.
The Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia once again confirmed the support of Georgia on the path to the European Union and highly assessed the progress achieved by Georgia in recent years. I am sure that Slovenia will support the granting of EU candidate status to Georgia next year”, Samkharadze said.
