Georgian MFA hosts conference for Georgian Sunday schools abroad

The Georgian Foreign Ministry, in collaboration with the Education Ministry and the State Language Department, convened a working conference of Georgian Sunday schools operating abroad.
According to the Georgian MFA, the conference focused on the opportunities for learning Georgian language abroad, the educational process in Georgian Sunday schools, and both planned and ongoing programmes, as well as the state support.
The conference was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Konstantinidi, Deputy Education Minister Nunu Mickevichi, and Chairman of the State Language Department, Giorgi Alibegashvili.
At present, over 150 Georgian Sunday schools operate in several countries.
