"The Kaspi Cannery Factory is working on the expansion of export markets. This year, the company exported a trial batch of locally produced products to Canada and Kazakhstan,” - Zurab Uchumbegashvili, the managing partner of Kaspi cannery factory stated.
According to Zurab Uchumbegashvili, the biggest exporters of the Kaspi Cannery's products are the USA, Israel and European countries, and despite the increase in transportation costs, the company continues to work on entering the new markets.
“We have exported small volumes of the products to Canada in the form of a trial batch. The products have already been delivered to the site and has been rated positively. We think that a few more batches will be sent during the year. Mainly sauces, pickles - capers, prickly ivy, garlic, and also a part of jams, which are exotic for Canada, were exported to the country.
With the help of the diplomatic corps, we sent a small amount of the products of the Kaspi Cannery to Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan has a population with purchasing power, but it is quite a competitive environment in terms of product sales. We have sent various types of sauces and adjika to Kazakhstan. Generally, it should be noted that transport services have become significantly more expensive," - said Zurab Uchumbegashvili.
