As the Georgian Judo Federation reports, Luka Maisuradze (90 kg) won a gold medal at the European Championship, which is taking place these days in Sofia. Another Georgian judoka Guram Tushishvili will compete today for a bronze medal. Varlam Liparteliani (100 kg) also had a chance to win a bronze medal at the tournament, but the team captain lost to Nikoloz Sherazadishvili, representing Spain. 

The Georgian team earned two Golds and two Bronzes at the championships. Tato Grigalashvili (81 kg) became the European champion.
