The Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of georgia Irakli Nadareishvili participated in the Georgian Investment Forum held in London, the United Kingdom, which was organized by the business consulting company Strategy Council and the agency of the Embassy of Georgia in the United Kingdom, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Enterprise Georgia Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. The forum served to introduce Georgia's investment potential to potential investors, investment bankers and the UK business sector.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister focused on the economic trends of Georgia and noted that the country's economy had shown a strong recovery rate and reached double-digit economic growth in 2021-22. According to Irakli Nadareishvili, the consistent economic policy and stable macroeconomic environment lead to the increased interest of investors towards Georgia.
"Today, Georgia is an excellent place to invest, with a liberal and favorable business environment, access to green energy and the opportunity to trade freely in markets of more than two billion consumers. I believe that Georgia is already and will be competitive on the international business scene," said Irakli Nadareishvili.
The Deputy Minister drew attention to the political decisions of the government in the direction of the development of small and medium entrepreneurship, promotion of the introduction of knowledge-based services and activation of the process of economic integration with the European Union. He focused on such projects of regional importance that contribute to the development of the Europe-Asia transport corridor passing through Georgia, including such projects as the Black Sea Electric Cable, Anaklia deep-water port, railway modernization and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and others.
