According to the Director of the Tbilisi Infectious Diseases Hospital, Tengiz Tsertsvadze, at this stage, he does not think it is right to activate the COVID-19 Green Passports" mechanism in major facilities and transport.
"At this stage, I do not consider it appropriate to use "COVID-19 Green Passports" in transport, because a large part of the population in Georgia does not have this passport. A total of 1 million people are fully vaccinated. In case of imposing restrictions on transport, it will be technically difficult to control it, and secondly - it will create great discomfort and cause great protest,” - said Tengiz Tsertsvadze.
