Mikheil Sarjveladze, Georgia's Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health, and Social Affairs, met with Kreso Antonio Paliska, Senior Vice President of the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI), an organization specializing in healthcare accreditation and clinical excellence certification. The discussion focused on ongoing reforms within Georgia’s healthcare sector.
According to the Ministry, Paliska acknowledged the “significant changes” implemented within Georgia’s hospital sector, noting that these changes had contributed to improved service quality and increased public trust.
Minister Sarjveladze emphasized that continued cooperation with AACI and its experts would further strengthen the country’s hospital sector. He highlighted the Ministry’s priority of safeguarding the “right to health” of all patients and providing “medical services tailored to their needs.”
The Minister further stated that collaboration with the international accreditation body would “significantly support” these objectives. The meeting also included discussions on future plans and potential areas for further cooperation between the Ministry and AACI.
