
The government of Georgia will pay GEL 5.9 million this year to the company Rothschild & Co. for the preparation of the strategy for the transformation of the country into a financial hub. According to the document published by the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, the cost of this project this year is GEL 5,903,658.
The funds allocated for the project amounted to GEL 1,907,890 in the first half of the year.
In July, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili met with the managing director of Rothschild & Co. Ariel Mallard de Rothschild. According to the published information, at the meeting "the document on the transformation of Georgia into a regional hub was discussed, which is being worked on and the goal of which is to turn the country into a multifunctional hub in the fields of technology, education and financial services."
