The building of the government administration illuminates the national football team’s image after Georgia claimed victory over Greece in the playoff final of the UEFA Euro 2024 and secured its first-ever spot in a major football tournament.

The Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili have sent an official submission to the Georgian President to award the national football team, its coaches, and the management of the National Football Federation with the Medal of Honour.

To celebrate the historic victory, the National Bank of Georgia will issue a Euro 2024 collector’s coin.
