Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Administration of the Government of Georgia, met with Ivana Živković, Director of the Regional Bureau for Europe and the CIS of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), to discuss the long-standing and productive partnership between Georgia and the UNDP and explore opportunities for deeper cooperation.
During the meeting, both sides highlighted the success of numerous joint projects implemented over the years and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining and expanding active collaboration. The conversation emphasized the need to further elevate this relationship, aligning it more closely with Georgia’s national priorities and development strategies.
“The most important aspect of this cooperation is ensuring it reflects our national vision—programs, strategies, and policies supported by the Georgian people,” said Zhorzholiani, underlining that future engagement with international partners must be grounded in the country’s own development agenda.
UNDP Regional Director Ivana Živković expressed satisfaction with the current state of relations and voiced strong support for continuing and strengthening cooperation.
Also present at the meeting was Douglas Webb, UNDP Resident Representative in Georgia. The talks marked a shared commitment to aligning international assistance more closely with Georgia’s domestic policy goals, thereby enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of development efforts.
