Under a decree issued by the Georgian government, GEL 2.6 million will be allocated from the state reserve fund to the Autonomous Republic of Adjara to support the sale of substandard mandarin harvests.

As part of the program, citrus processing enterprises in Adjara that purchase substandard mandarins from individuals during the citrus season at a minimum price of GEL 0.40 per kilogram will receive a subsidy of GEL 0.35 per kilogram.

In addition, the government has allocated a separate GEL 4 million to support producers of substandard citrus fruits nationwide. As a result, the total amount of subsidies for this initiative will reach GEL 6.6 million.
