
Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Georgia, Hassan bin Ahmed Al-Mutawa, as the Ambassador concludes his diplomatic mission.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides reflected on the positive momentum in Georgia–Qatar relations, noting progress in both bilateral and multilateral cooperation. They emphasized the importance of maintaining high-level visits to further strengthen ties.
The conversation focused on expanding collaboration in trade, economic development, and connectivity, with both parties underscoring the value of concluding a free trade agreement to boost economic exchanges.
The Minister and Ambassador also exchanged views on the regional and global security landscape. Ambassador Al-Mutawa reiterated Qatar’s firm support for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Minister Botchorishvili thanked the Ambassador for his constructive and productive engagement during his tenure and extended best wishes for his future diplomatic endeavors.
