Tomorrow, the PM-led Georgian delegation will leave for Brussels to participate in the Eastern Partnership Summit, slated for December 15.
As the Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani stated, he has positive expectations and hopes that Georgia’s progress on its path to EU integration will be reaffirmed and penned in the declaration.
“This format is crucial for us as it is one of the best ways to get closer to the EU. In the last 12 years, since the Eastern Partnership format establishment, Georgia has made very significant progress in this regard.
I am convinced that the December 15 declaration will be what we exactly expected. In particular, it will reflect our European aspirations and European choices, as well as reaffirm the EU’s greater involvement in conflict resolution and reaffirm our country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” Zalkaliani stressed.
