The Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili congratulated Marco Rubio on his appointment as the US Secretary of State.

“My heartfelt congratulations to newly appointed US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. I very much look forward to fostering cooperation and strengthening ties between our two countries under your leadership. I deeply believe that the best in Georgia-US relations is yet to come!” she wrote on the X Platform.

The U.S. Senate on Monday unanimously confirmed Republican Senator Marco Rubio, as President Donald Trump’s Secretary of State by a vote of 99-0.
