A Georgian winger of the Italian club Napoli, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, was named the Player of the Month for March of the Serie A national league for the second time in a row and for the third time in the same season, setting a new all-time record in the history of the championship.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s selection for the prize was revealed by EA Sports, a division of Electronic Arts that develops and publishes sports videogames. The Serie A Player of the Month award is sponsored by the video game developer.
The winger was the most voted-for player by fans in the poll that also included his teammate Kim Min-jae, Sassuolo forward Armand Laurienté, Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Udinese defender Destiny Udogie.
The award will be presented to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia before Napoli’s home game against Milan, scheduled for Sunday at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in Naples.
