
Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili will take part in the 134th meeting of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Ministers, set for May 13–14 in Luxembourg.
According to Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting will focus on the Council’s role in the shifting geopolitical landscape and address key themes from the Reykjavík Declaration, including human rights, environmental protection, and education.
Botchorishvili is scheduled to deliver an official address and participate in a thematic discussion on “A New Pact for Democracy in Europe,” initiated by the Council’s Secretary General. The discussion is being hosted by Luxembourg’s Vice Prime Minister and Foreign and Trade Minister, Xavier Bettel.
During the visit, the Georgian Foreign Minister will also hold bilateral talks with fellow ministers.
At the close of the session, Luxembourg will hand over the Committee of Ministers chairmanship to Malta for the next six months.
