“This forum provides an opportunity to share and present our positions and ideas to the world on the topic of global security, our role and function in the regional context, as well as the challenges and opportunities that are currently being created,“- the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Davit Zalkaliani said, while talking about the main emphases of the Prime Minister’s speech.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, Irakli Gharibashvili will talk about the future of the country.

“Irakli Gharibashvili will deliver a future-oriented speech from the UN rostrum, focusing on de-occupation strategy and Georgia’s role in the region and the ways to be done for sustainable and democratic development, welfare of the people to minimize the threats that pose the problems the is country facing. Of course, the PM’s speech will touch upon the situation in the occupied territories – what opportunities exist on the part of the international community and how this consolidation should be further strengthened. It concerns our peace initiatives. The de-occupation strategy, of course, will sound very clear in this speech,” – Davit Zalkaliani stated.

The Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili is scheduled to deliver a speech at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly today.
