Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, met with United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres in Geneva during the 58th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
Their discussion focused on Georgia’s engagement with the UN and its institutions, highlighting the organization’s crucial role in promoting global peace and development.
The Minister expressed gratitude for the UN’s continued support for Georgia and addressed the situation in the country’s occupied regions. Special attention was given to the UN’s active role in the Geneva International Discussions, with both parties reaffirming the importance of UN resolutions concerning Georgia.

Minister Botchorishvili extended an invitation to Secretary-General Guterres to visit Georgia and reiterated the country’s commitment to supporting UN initiatives and contributing to global peace, development, and the resolution of international challenges.
