The Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili met with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku, underscoring that the “strong friendship between the Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples” forms the foundation of the strategic partnership between their nations.
During their joint press conference, Botchorishvili emphasized the "very intensive" nature of bilateral relations. She announced that Georgia’s Prime Minister would soon visit Baku for the 10th session of the Economic Commission, which would provide an additional platform to address key bilateral issues.
"Both Georgia and Azerbaijan play crucial roles in the region, maintaining an exemplary relationship," Botchorishvili remarked. She expressed optimism for the strengthening of economic cooperation, which she believed would enhance both countries’ positions in the region.
The Ministers also discussed ongoing joint projects with significance extending beyond their respective borders, positively impacting the broader region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Botchorishvili extended an invitation to Bayramov to visit Georgia.
