Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili met with the representatives of the World Bank who are on mission in Georgia - Regional Director for Eastern and Southern Africa for the Equitable Growth, Finance and Institutions, Asad Alam, Chief Economist of the World Bank for Europe and Central Asia - Ivailo Izvorski and Leading Economist of the World Bank - Leonardo Iacovone.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze and Regional Director of the World Bank in the South Caucasus, Rolande Pryce.
The issues of bilateral cooperation, the current economic situation in the country and the progress achieved in the implementation of economic and governance reforms by Georgia after the pandemic, as well as action plans were discussed.
Once again, the importance of the World Bank's support in financing priority areas for the country was emphasized.
The parties expressed hope that the cooperation between Georgia and the World Bank will continue actively.
