Georgia’s Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili met with the Regional Director for Sustainable Development at the Europe and Central Asia Region at the World Bank, Sameh Wahba, and the Head of the Practice Manager of Urban Development, Disaster Risk Management and Land at the World Bank, Christoph Pusch.
As the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia reported, the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance, Ekaterine Guntsadze, and the Regional Director of the World Bank in the South Caucasus, Sebastian Molyneux.
The parties reviewed the ongoing and planned projects supported by the World Bank in Georgia, emphasizing the importance of the launch of the human capital programme in the country.
The Minister of Finance informed the guests about the fiscal parameters of the current and next year. The World Bank representatives expressed their readiness to further deepen the existing “fruitful cooperation” between the sides, noting the bank would continue to support the ongoing reforms in the country.
