The Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze attended the meeting.
The parties discussed the issues of bilateral relations between Georgia and the United States of America. The Minister of Finance congratulated Robin Dunnigan on the start of the diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished her success.
The conversation touched on the support provided by the United States of America in the direction of strengthening the capabilities of the fiscal services of the Ministry of Finance.
The Minister informed the Ambassador about the steps taken by the Ministry of Finance and the Revenue Service of Georgia for the purpose of enforcement of international sanctions, the existing processes and mechanisms of coordination with partners in this direction. The Ambassador positively assessed the mechanisms developed by Georgia in preparation of enforcing international sanctions and the existing cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue close cooperation.
