
The Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili met with the newly appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of China to Georgia, Zhou Qian.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, the meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance Ekaterine Guntsadze and the Embassy Counselor for Trade and Economic Issues, Zhao Chuan.
At the introductory meeting, the parties discussed the issues of cooperation between the two countries in the trade and economic sphere.
The Minister of Finance congratulated the newly appointed diplomat on the start of the diplomatic mission in Georgia and wished him success in his future activities.
The discussion at the meeting touched upon the ongoing and implemented projects in the country with the grant and technical support of the government of the People's Republic of China.
At the meeting, the projects that are being implemented by the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance with the support of the Chinese government were mentioned.
The fact that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and China was emphasized at the meeting.
