
Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili is attending a constituency meeting of the IMF and World Bank in Luxembourg, where he met with World Bank Vice President for Development Finance Akihiko Nishio.
Discussions focused on the 21st replenishment of the International Development Association (IDA) and the assessment of the 20th replenishment cycle. Nishio thanked Georgia for its financial contribution to the IDA, underscoring the importance of continued donor support.
Khutsishvili highlighted Georgia’s strong macroeconomic performance, medium-term outlook, and long-standing cooperation with the World Bank. The meeting also reviewed ongoing and completed WB-supported projects in Georgia.
Georgia became an IDA donor in 2022, marking 30 years of cooperation with the institution, and is now contributing to its second replenishment cycle.
Both sides expressed readiness to further strengthen their partnership.
