
Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili participated in the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), held in China. The event brought together high-level officials and stakeholders to mark a decade of infrastructure investment and development cooperation.
On the sidelines of the forum, Minister Khutsishvili held a bilateral meeting with AIIB President Jin Liqun. Deputy Finance Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze also joined the discussions.
The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, reviewing the progress of AIIB-funded projects in Georgia, and exploring future strategic initiatives. Khutsishvili provided an overview of Georgia’s recent economic performance and shared the country’s mid-term economic outlook.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing sustainable development through continued collaboration. Currently, AIIB’s credit portfolio in Georgia stands at approximately USD 550 million, supporting key infrastructure and development projects.
