
The Minister of Finance of Georgia Lasha Khutsishvili met with Bruce Gosper, the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia Ekaterine Guntsadze and the Regional Director of the Asian Development Bank in Georgia, Shane Rosenthal.
The parties paid attention to the issues of bilateral cooperation, current and future projects supported by the bank. The role of the Asian Development Bank as one of the largest partners in the development process of Georgia, which includes both public and private sector financing, was emphasized.
The Georgian Finance Minister informed the ADB Vice President about the current situation in the country's economy and the updated macroeconomic parameters for 2022, according to which, the forecast rate of real economic growth has increased to 8.5%.
In addition to bilateral cooperation, the conversation touched on the issues of partnership in regional formats, especially in the field of trade, logistics and financial services.
The Minister of Finance of Georgia and the Vice President of the Asian Development Bank expressed hope that the partnership would continue in the direction of implementing both structural and economic reforms.
