Sandro Bazadze lost the final to Poland’s Krzysztof Kaczkowski with a score of 13-15, after defeating Italy’s Luigi Samele 15-12 in the semifinals.

The Georgian fencer has competed in the finals of all four prestigious tournaments in the current 2022-2023 season, becoming a champion of the Algerian World Cup and Tunis Grand Prix and winning silver at Orleans Grand Prix and Warsaw World Cup.

The 29-year-old fencer has a “unique achievement”, as he has been ranked in the top three at his seventh consecutive tournament.
