
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, hosted the Mission Director to the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in Georgia, John Pennell.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current projects and future plans in the field of education and science.
Giorgi Amilakhvari drew attention to the significant contribution of the United States government to the development of the education system of Georgia and thanked John Pennell for his fruitful cooperation.
The Minister singled out the memorandum signed last year between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the International Development Agency of the United States of America, which involves the implementation of joint projects at all levels of education. A total of $55,699,880 has been allocated by the USAID for the implementation of the mentioned projects.
The parties agreed on close and active cooperation in the direction of existing and new educational projects.
