
Georgian Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs, Givi Mikanadze, held an official meeting with the newly appointed French Ambassador to Georgia, Olivier Courteaud.
Minister Mikanadze congratulated Ambassador Courteaud on his new role and expressed confidence in the continued productive cooperation between Georgia and France. He emphasized the strong ties between the two countries in the fields of education, science, and youth engagement.
During the meeting, Minister Mikanadze presented key aspects of Georgia’s ongoing higher education reform, a major initiative introduced by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. He also outlined areas for future collaboration, including the launch of innovative youth projects, the development of joint scientific research initiatives, and efforts to further promote the French language in Georgian schools.
Ambassador Courteaud, in turn, highlighted the importance of the Franco-Georgian University in promoting French language and culture in Georgia. He underscored France’s commitment to deepening educational and cultural ties.
Both parties expressed their readiness to strengthen bilateral cooperation and explore new opportunities to support students, researchers, and educators in both countries.
