The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, held an introductory meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Greece to Georgia, Maria Maria Theodorou, during which the parties discussed the details of the existing and further cooperation in the field of education and science.
The Minister talked with the Ambassador about the prospects of strengthening the teaching of the Georgian language in Greek schools. According to Giorgi Amilakhvari, this issue is very important for the Georgian diaspora living there.
The conversation also touched on the issues of deepening the partnership between the higher educational institutions and scientific and research institutes of Georgia and Greece, through the implementation of joint projects.
